Must-Have Products

I'd like to begin creating posts highlighting products that I run across to aid me in making terrific meals! Sometimes I just don't have the time to make things from scratch or there's a spice/herb that makes a meal taste so much better. I'm going to start off by spotlighting some products that I always have to have in my cupboard:
Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce is hands down our favorite brand to use as a marinade for beef, chicken, and pork if we're going to heat up the grill. We use this sauce for our favorite rib recipe that is amazingly simple as well - just throw some pork boneless ribs in the crockpot, sprinkle some Lipton Onion Soup on the ribs and then pour the whole bottle of bbq sauce over top. Cook on low for 8 hours. Couldn't be any easier!

Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt is the seasoned salt that I use most often. If I ever need to cook some chicken to add to a meal (which seems like practically every night) I'll use this all-natural salt that has coarse salt in it, herbs and spices, and dehydrated onion and garlic. It's one of the few seasoned salts that doesn't have paprika in it.

Ok, the last must-have products that I'll talk about are Watkins Gourmet Pantry items. If you want the most amazing vanilla in all the world, their award-winning Double Strength Vanilla is what you must have. It's alcohol-free and made from Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans. When you smell it, you will have to take all your will power not to drink it....for real. Their Purest Ground Cinnamon and Purest Ground Black Pepper are amazing as well. They have absolutely delicious mixes that you can make into dips like Cucumber & Dill, Blazin' Cajun, and Bacon & Cheddar. I wish I could force everyone out there to buy these products because they are just so out of this world!

Here's a question for those that my stumble across my blog....what are some must-have products in your pantry?

Where do you get the vanilla? Do you order it online, or is there somewhere local that you can buy it?

They sell many of their items at Wal-mart (I haven't seen it at other grocery stores) but I order online frequently as well.

I'm a Watkins associate and love all the gourmet pantry products. I wouldn't cook with any other brand!

My friend Katie always buys several bottles of Watkins vanilla when she goes home to Utah. She actually encouraged me to stop using imitation and use the real stuff!

We have discoverd recently Materpiece Caribbean Jerk marinade. We use that a lot on chicken. Yum!

Just an update on my comment: while at Wal-Mart here in Dallas, strolling along the baking isle I spied Watkins vanilla so I bought some!

Those all look really great. When you do your ribs...do you buy the boneless ones?

HOLLY: Yes, I buy the boneless ribs. I'm lazy that way. =)
