Sour Cream Butter Biscuits

Warm biscuits fresh from the oven are impossible to resist. Specs for a mouth watering biscuit: light, flaky, fluffy with a moist rich crumb. Many people use the canned biscuits, but these taste so much better! There's a saying that most Southern women learn to make biscuits before they can flirt and Paula Deen has given us a recipe that is easy enough for anybody to make.

SOUR CREAM BUTTER BISCUITS
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese (I added this myself, it's not in the recipe)

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix the flour and butter together; add the sour cream, and blend well. Place spoonfuls of the batter in greased miniature muffin pans. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden.

Thanks so much for visiting my page and leavning your comments Lisa. I really do appreciate them! Caster sugar is white sugar. It is a bit finer than granulated sugar, but you can use regular granulated sugar. By the way, those are mighty find looking biscuits! I may give those a try. We have company coming for their supper tonight and they look perfect! (the biscuits that is, not the company! lol)

My trainer will not be happy about the biscuits. But I did use fat-free sour cream, so she can't be too mad at me! =)

Wow this sounds so easy, I usually shy away from these recipes because of all the butter cutting but I am in!
