Philly 'N Everything Cheesesteak

Joe's all-time favorite sandwich is a Philly 'n Everything (minus the onion) from The Italian Place. It's a cheese steak sandwich that I have to admit is pretty good. I decided to conquer the task of recreating this sandwich at home and even possibly making it better, which I believe I did tonight. This is a modified version of the Marlboro Man Sandwich from the Pioneer Woman blog. Make this for any man and he will think you are the most amazing woman ever!

PHILLY 'N EVERYTHING CHEESESTEAK
  • 2 to 3 pounds cube steak, sliced in strips against the grain
  • 1 large onion OR 2 small/medium onions, sliced (I omitted this for Joe)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tablespoon butter, divided
  • BBQ seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • Hoagie rolls
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skiller and add all your veggies. Saute until the veggies are tender; remove and set aside. Melt the remainder of your butter and add the cube steak strips; sprinkle with BBQ seasoning. Cook until no longer pink. Add the Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco; let simmer for 3-5 minutes. Add the veggies and cream cheese and mix until the cream cheese is all melted. Serve on hoagie rolls.
