BACON GRILLED CHEESE
- 4 slice of honey wheat bread (I used what we had on hand - sourdough bread)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 3 ounces of smoked cheddar or Pepper Jack slice (we used Pepper Jack)
- 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp
- 1 small avocado, pitted, peeled, and sliced
- 2 tomato slices
- 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon honey
In skillet or griddle, cook over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes, until toasted and cheese is melted, turning once. Or place in preheated panini maker; cook 2 to 3 minutes. Makes 2 sandwiches.

This sounds so good! I've never used honey in a grilled cheese. I will try these out next time I make grilled cheese and soup. Thanks :)
That is definitely a kicked-up grilled cheese. I can't wait to try this -- I love BHG!
